BERRY BARK!!!!!!

(Thank you Marnie Adler of MA Pilates!!)

Make it:

Wash and dry berries of your choice. I use blueberries as the base and work around it. This reel is raspberries and blackberries. Pomegranate seeds work. I don’t recommend cut fruit (bananas and strawberries get mushy fast so doesn’t keep as long). I have done cherries on their own. #cherrybark 🍒

melt one box (two full bars) of chocolate of choice. I use semi-sweet bakers chocolate. Use chocolate chips I didn’t like the consistency of the melt (needs coconut oil). Bakers chocolate I can guarantee results.

check on chocolate and stir once in a while

line a cookie sheet with parchment paper

arrange berries make sure they are all same side down (as much as possible). Then place other berries or seeds to spread out the love. (Or make a design) For raspberries and blackberries make sure they are on their side.

stir the chocolate until super smooth

add one scoop of Hela Chocolate Protein powder and stir

add 1-2tsp of coconut oil to smooth out chocolate keep stirring until clump disappear.

take a freezer safe (cause you need the thickness to handle the warm chocolate) ziplock bag and drape it over a glass.

fill the bag with melted chocolate

take the bag out have the chocolate flow to one side creating a pointed edge to cut

cut a small diagonal line at the point of bag

✅🚨🚨dress berries with chocolate starting at one corner and moving across the berries diagonally to the opposite corner. Then, go diagonally in the other direction. COVER IT ALL and make sure the little holes between the berries are full.

option to chop fresh mint or basil on top depending on which berries you use and your palette

place in fridge to set for at least three hours before serving

serve whole let’s the guests see the design and break it themselves.  Keeps in fridge up to a week (fruit freshness depending) & makes a great snack 👊🏻.

don’t leave it out of the fridge for too long …it softens. But chances are it will be long gone before that’s an issue.

🚨🚨this does NOT go in the freezer!
